Leaked letter orders CPP officials to support PM

A CPP Central Committee letter leaked on Facebook and local media yesterday shows the party ordering top officials across the country to release public statements supporting Hun Sen’s resolution of the recent border dispute with Laos.

The classified letter, signed on Saturday by Cambodian People’s Party Vice President Say Chhum, called on “directors of provincial and municipal party committees to persuade government officials, armed forces, teachers, monks, business people, farmers, students and civil society organisations to submit a petition supporting the statement of Samdech [Hun Sen] . . . about Cambodia’s border issue”.

A similar outpouring of support came from all corners of the country’s government institutions following the widely criticised arrest of Cambodia National Rescue Party President Kem Sokha on charges of “treason”. The letters and statements from ministries, local governments, armed forces, student groups and pro-government NGOs were published on government mouthpiece Fresh News.

Sok Eysan, spokesman for the CPP, confirmed the letter was authentic yesterday, and defended it as a normal part of political party hierarchy.

“It is the party’s discipline; it means that the party has internal unity from top to bottom. If the leader says that, the subordinate repeats that. Therefore, for this case, they need to agree with each other in both political stance and action,” Eysan said.

“It is a campaign to attract the public’s support, and to have the people see that CPP is strong and has unity and solidarity,” he added, characterising the CNRP as disorganised by comparison.

Mao Monivann, a CNRP lawmaker, claimed the strategy was similar to those employed by the Khmer Rouge.

“We have experienced this during Khmer Rouge regime. We used to say that the superior orders that, [then] the inferior will do that,” he said.

Monivann said the opposition did not make a habit of ordering people to support its leader’s positions, but instead followed the will of the people.

But political analyst Meas Nee suggested the opposition could take a page from the CPP’s politicking playbook.

“It is a strategic war for gaining the support from the people nationwide,” he said, noting that the opposition might use a similar tactic to rally support for the release of Kem Sokha.

Democratic Kampuchea under Pol Pot claimed to have 100% popular support through their propaganda radio. And the Chinese support to the regime at the time only cost ‘3 millions’ Khmer lives.

They have to support their Master or they will be relocated or out of work that is why some of those Star Generals pledged to protect Hun Sen at any cost in public just to make sure Hun Sen will see it . Now we know that it was not coming out of their will , they have been ordered to say it .

What about Vietnam behind Hun Sen for the last 30 years plus?

When the superior orders, then the inferior will do. This is the way any country, the organization, and the family should do. We have the leader and we should follow his direction.

Same as if Sokha tells us to do, do you think we should ignore? No country is operating this way.

Until we have a different leader, now we should support and be behind the current leader's vision to build the nation.

If we cannot help and support, we should not try to slow down the county's progress and to violate the law. We are here having better Living conditions now compared to the past decades.

Denying, complaining, blaming will not help us here. CPP will rule the country for years to come, and we all know that.

Superior is not the word. Viets and Hun sen are the way of the crookedness. Crookedness is inferiority.

When French colonized Vietnam for about 200 years, that did not last. So hopefully soon, hope the Chinese will take over the Viets.

The same strategy Sihanouk used in 1960. Hun Sen subordinates or slaves have no brain to tell from right to wrong. Whatever is coming from Hun Sen's stinky mouth, the slaves or subordinates always yell and scream: bravo, bravo.

To Narin Vong
Hun Sen will close the door and beat the dogs eventually. Since you are one of his dogs and the door closed and locked your chance of running away is very slim.

Bong Song, his twin Narin Vong/Vietcong et al. don’t come here to have good debates.
They are here to post nonsense comments, and when they are faced with tough questions they go into hiding.
The link below stayed on top for almost a week and it showed how coward Narin Vong was when many readers asked him.

One solution is that if Kem Sokha cannot afford to be a minority party, he should join the current government and try to work together for the good of the country, or he should try to peacefully promote the voice of his party, or he should remove himself from politics and allow Hun Sen to keep making Cambodia great again and again. Do you know that first time in the history that Cambodia has a stock exchange, large shopping malls, many factories, highrises, casinos, more than 10% GDP, and millions of tourists,etc... Cambodian people are proud of the current government, not Kem Sokha who cannot govern even his own family affair. Stop complaining and start holding hands. Remember the slogan, "if you cannot beat them you join them." In this case no other party can win, stop crying if you said you really love Cambodia.

Hun Sen and CPP are Khmer Rouge veterans. When Khmer Rouge under the leadership of Pol Pot took over Cambodia in 1975 they rounded up and expelled or killed all foreigners and closed all borders so no one can escape. Then they started sending people to the countryside where the killing took place. No news about the killings leaked outside since there were no foreigners to witness and no people can cross the borders to spread the news to outsiders. Now we live in Hun Sen and CPP era. He once boasted that he will shut the door and kill the dogs. He now in the work of shutting foreign media, and the next step is to chase away foreigners to avoid leaking news of his action. Who knows what he will he do next? it's communists mentality. Did everyone know that the rich and the powerful people are now sending their kids abroad? Because they are afraid that the 2nd Pol Pot will come back to reign Cambodia again.

As always the Vietnamese are very good at playing the victims.

Why don't you ask the hundreds of thousands of Khmers who ran to Thailand and South Korea, and some women ran to other countries to find themselves sexually abused? Are they considered traitors? Those living abroad who give up their shares in order to send money to help the abandoned poor, that's not helping? Every year they send hundreds of millions of dollars to Cambodia from all corners of the world. And Hun Sen destroying their homes and rob their lands, that's helping? Are the Vietnamese, you among them, running to Cambodia to save the Tonle Sap Lake, or to rob fish, or rob land?

Your opinion shows the superficiality, clearly. It doesn't take too many words.

Once of Hun Sen niece, Nim Vannak bought a Khmer American man in Texas, married him and dumped him after she gained U.S. Citizenship. She now live in a $500,000 mansion in a wealthy neighborhood and drive a fancy and expensive car. Her parents and Hun families manage Seaport of Kampong Som. In Texas that girl never work. She amassed her wealth through corruption money her family made in Cambodia. If Narin Vong wants contribution to help Cambodia cause go ask her. By the way, she run away from Cambodia too.

Narin Vong,

You sound like you belong to Hun Sen Bodyguard Unit. If I am correct, allowing you to pick me up from the airport for free is amounting to me, myself commit suicide. The world know how cruel Hun Sen Bodyguard is. Throwing grenade, shot, kicked at peaceful demonstrators, no exception even the monks. I am not falling into your tricks.

Narin Vong said...

No I'm not his bodyguard nor his relative. I'm just an ordinary business person trying to live my life and raising my family here.

Hun Sen is not a bad leader like some of you denouncing him. At least he did liberate the country from Pol Pot and give us a life to be Cambodian.

Some of you living in America and others don't understand the word appreciation! Without Hun Sen you all are dead during Khmere Rouge era and not a chance to run away from the country.

You never help anyone here as I see it. Because you want Sokha and Rainsy to win so you can come back to your own country someday.

Forget about them, they will never win the general election. I know one day, you or your family will come to visit your home land.

Don't try to be bitter and negative about us here. You have $$$ and drive nice car, but try to go to school and write better English to compete with us.

We are smart here because we study and be proactive to our society, we even know how to locate where you are using ISP. Don't break the law or you will be the same as Sokha.

Do you know Sokha's 5th wife is Vietnames? You probable don't know. Be educated please.

Narin Vong,

Don't say that I know nothing about Cambodia. I have been to Cambodia every year since year 2000 to visit relatives. Anytime I was there, I always see demonstrations from factory workers, land grabbing victims. I witness the Hun Sen Bodyguards beat, strike protesters with no mercy. All the places, Siem Reap, Battambang, Phnom Penh, Kandal, Koh Kong etc...are all dirty, polluted. Without my relatives there I wouldn't come to visit Cambodia at all. Worst of all the food is not hygienic, mostly imported from Vietnam. As Vietnamese never had good intention toward Khmers, the Vietnamese can poison us with the food they produced in Vietnam. I spent more time in Thailand as most the places are clean the food is reliable. In the scale of 1 to 10, I would give Thailand 8 to 1 for Cambodia.

tk said...

By the way, I don't belong to any parties in Cambodia and I don't side with any parties. Parties in Cambodia flourished like mushroom. Hun Sen tricked the world into believing that his country is multi-party system for international support purposes. Now he start arresting the party leaders realizing that he and his party will lose the next election for sure. By arresting their leaders, all members will be in disarray, no unity. His action ensures no other parties exist to challenge him in the next election. His actions cost him dearly in the international stage as the international community, with the exception of China and North Korea, will not support the dictatorship rule. Hun Sen does not care as long as Chinese and North Korea, Vietnam stand behind him. Cambodia then will end up be a Communist state again.

When the Opera browser is used to post the comments, the ISP’s are from all over world from one comment to the next.
We are too far ahead of you, shit-head Vietcong!
Only dumb spies would give out the secret of his tactic, in other word you don’t know shit about tracing ISP.
